In Ode to Noise, classically trained percussionists challenge the conventions of chamber music, creating performances that invite audiences to experience something truly out of the ordinary. Formed in 2023, the ensemble consists of Daniel Alin, Jacob Aurell, and Soloist Prize winner Christoffer Breman, all of whom studied at various points with renowned percussion virtuoso Johan Bridger. Since its founding, Ode to Noisehas successfully performed works including Andy Akiho’s Grammy-nominated Seven Pillarsand Philip Glass’s Aguas da Amazônia, and has collaborated with composition students at the Malmö Academy of Music.

Amalie Stalheim and Johan Bridger are among the Nordic region’s leading musicians, both enjoying international careers as soloists and chamber musicians. They have performed with major orchestras across Europe and have each been awarded the prestigious Swedish Soloist Prize. They have appeared at renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and Wigmore Hall, and Stalheim is a regular guest at international festivals, including the Bergen International Festival.

The duo Stalheim & Bridger began their collaboration during a tour with Musica Vitae in 2018–2019, where they gave the world premiere of Anna-Lena Laurin’s Carnaval Tristefor cello, marimba, and string orchestra. Their repertoire ranges from original works by Andrew Beall and Osvaldo Golijov to their own distinctive arrangements of music by Saint-Saëns and Piazzolla.

Apollos Cabinet is a baroque ensemble dedicated to performing music from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Playing on period instruments and informed by historically informed performance practice, the ensemble recreates the rich sound world of the music’s original context. Apollos Cabinet has performed throughout Sweden and internationally, earning acclaim for its exceptional ensemble playing and its ability to make early music engaging and relevant for contemporary audiences.

At the Krinolin stage, the ensemble presents “Frederick the Great’s Birthday Celebration.”Frederick the Great was not only a monarch but also a passionate music lover. Only the finest compositions were worthy of his birthday concert: virtuosic concertos by Georg Philipp Telemann and Johann Gottlieb Graun, enigmatic canons by Johann Sebastian Bach—and, not least, a Baroque pop medley!

A brand-new kind of chamber music festival, presented by Klubb Krinolin and Musik i Syd! Set in the historic halls of Matverkstaden at Lokstallarna, with its string-light-lit bars, we’re transforming the venue into a unique one-day festival featuring two stages. Enjoy a series of 20-minute concerts, and between performances, explore artisanal food, snacks, and cold beer from Matverkstaden.

Experience both international artists and the Öresund region’s rising classical stars during an evening of outstanding live music, great company, and an unforgettable festival atmosphere.

DUO STHM

Duo STHM consists of Danish-Swedish violinist Alva Holm and Canadian-Dutch cellist Willem Stam. United by a shared passion for historical sound ideals, the duo brings a musical approach defined by sensitivity, freedom, and storytelling. Both perform on gut strings and move effortlessly between the classical repertoire and contemporary music, placing curiosity and close artistic collaboration at the heart of their work.

Duo STHM has already established a presence on the Scandinavian concert scene with numerous performances, while several recording projects are currently in development. Their repertoire ranges from Ravel and Kodály to Saariaho and newly commissioned works, selected with the same care and artistic curiosity that characterize their musical practice as a whole.
